The Kano State governor, Rabi'u Musa Kwankwaso, yesterday paid a visit to three football players at the Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital.
The three players were victims of an attck by armed robbers in Abuja, on the Pillars team coach.
The team were travelling to Owerri, Imo State for a game against Heartland FC.
The three players, Adamu Murtala, Gambo Muhammad, and Otakpa Oneji were shot during the attack, and had the bullets removed at the hospital.
Kwankwaso prayed for the victims and said that the attack was barbaric.
He told the players not to worry about the hospital bills, that the government would take care of it.
He then prayed for quick recovery and proceeded to conduct a quick excursion of the hospital alongside the state commissioner of health of Kano Pillars FC and senior staff of the hospital.
The Kano Pillars team were attacked last week by armed robbers on their way to play their NPL first game.
